BUILDING BLOCKS OF MANAGEMENT

Every organization is built upon three pillars of management. Each pillar comprises of brick where each and every brick has its own importance.

Let’s have a look at these two pictures below .definitely people are thinking what is going on in here. Here, Once again professor T. Prasad, a man born to teach by his own merry ways, taught us  a deep concept of principle of organization and management in such a lucid way with the help of a  demonstration. He explained how modern management works today in an organization and what are the concepts they use to improve their production and productivity.

In first pic  one of our friend is putting block over block and trying to build a tower of as many blocks as he had promised . Fortunatly he did but  what happened in second case??????
A  blindfolded trying to do the same job using the instructions of an another guy . He  could do nothing but to rely on his partner.  The person promised less no. of blocks than the one in the previous case. But this blindfolded guy taking instructions and building blocks  just went  on and on and on………
Just guess who made the longest buliding ….case_1, case_2

From a normal man eyes it’s just a game but if u look through my eyes or  any other  NITIAN  student ‘s eyes then one can see the concept of management in a game. Obivoisly answer was  case_2.
Surprised !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............ but it was the reality which we have seen ……

Concept of organization where management need such blind folded  manpower on the bottom line ,they just do what have been assigned to him without any decision making …… in second pic bling folded person acted as bottom line and his counter part acted as manager who just instructed  him how to perform the task.

Now see the benefits of this modern management technique.high  productivity , work clarification. But like every coin has two face, there are some consequnces like skills get confined and some time later it might  lead to disatisfaction. But it can be compensated by management through some  kind of apreciation and reward .

I hope you all understand the concept …. Once again really I thank sir to make us understand such concept with his own style ….practical learning……

Modern Gurukul..............

Work when starts from the ground level always have a good base, doesn't matter what are the circumstances you always find yourself on successful path.

Sitting on BLUE CARPET with my friends and great professor Dr.T.Prasad (Dr. Mandi), I learnt that business really starts from ground level and moves through the street. He taught us the basic and literal meaning of business. “Business is Dhanda”.
Only learning lot of stuffs and theoretical concept will not work, now it time to learn things practically , he taught us “ earning while learning “ and it is mandatory for a B-school student.
“Socho Becho!!  Becho Seekho !! Seekho Socho !! Socho Becho”

He used so many toys to teach us the business concepts and How to sell the product by value addition so that kids learn a lot while playing. One of them is a stress ball printed with world map, we have seen this ball so many times but never thought an innovative modification and value addition can really change the meaning of the ball for the users and for the vendors.
Normal stress ball Dr. Mandi’s stress ball

One another toy was the Newton’s cradle

Samjo to kahani hai nahi to sirf sabdo ki jubani hai .I mean for the children is just a toy but if you have a little knowledge of physics than have a look on it lots of engineering behind it. Newton’s cradle named after Sir Isaac Newton, is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy via a series of swinging spheres. When one on the end is lifted and released, the resulting force travels through the line and pushes the last one upward. Than he explained how these toys were used by a group of Production Engineers for starting their own company and explained the facts about business, customer behaviors.

It was not just a 2 hr. of session but really an interactive session with such person who equipped with the tools of business and class room looked like a Master giving the mantra to their disciple. After this he told us about the importance of  "Mandi". An annual event organized by NITIE students under the guidance of Dr T.Prasad (Dr. Mandi) where NITIE's students used to sell items in the streets of Mumbai learning the real business tactics.

I really impressed with the way of teaching  of professor T.Prasad and thanks to him to give me opportunity and motivation to write my first blog , looking forward to more such interactive session with him..................................…………………….
